Excellent birding good basic facilities, camping available close to town.
Always great to stay here! We had the shearers quarters this time and it was very comfortable. Surprisingly warm in the evening but definitely on the cool side come morning. There are plenty of blankets and doonas so bed was toasty warm. Hopefully rain comes their way very soon!
Amazing and extreme part of Qld. Great for bird watching.
As a nascent wild life photographer this site helped me find my feet and reversible toe. My favourite event was the coming of heavy rains and the excited activity of the birds I noticed in great numbers. The scarcer density of the vegetation lends itself to greater visibility through foliage. The hosts were erudite on matters birding and offered budget accommodation or camping.
